University Boulevard, Tucson, AZ: The Rogue Theatre.More info"Dante's Purgatorio" is an original translation (from the Italian) and adaptation of the middle cantica of Dante's "Divine Comedy." The work was commissioned and produced by the Rogue Theatre and written specifically for its ensemble of actors. Collaborations in the process also included work with an artistic director, a managing director, two musical directors, one lighting designer, one dramaturg.

Halifax, Canada: Dalhousie Arts Center.More info"The Decameron" is an original translation from the Italian and stage adaptation of Giovanni Boccaccio's collection of 100 stories (from which I chose ten stories to incorporate into one play). This work was originally commissioned by the Rogue Theatre and produced in Tucson in 2011. The Dalhousie Arts Center, in collaboration with Dalhousie University, invited me to collaborate on the rewriting of the script to suit its ensemble company of student actors, who worked on the rehearsal process and production as their graduating capstone project.
Other Teaching Materials
- Baliani, P. (2023. I devoted rewarding effort to mentoring several student public presentations/projects this past year, including: an original art/text.recording exhibit at the UA Poetry Center (Graduating student, Rachel Newcomb's thesis, "Alone, Together" chronicling diverse lived experiences during the Covid pandemic): a public joint student lecture, "Not Sweating It" at the Rogue Theatre (by Honors students Gaby Gupka and Nic Owen, contexualizing for the Rogue audiences the backgrounds, working methods, and theatrical strategies employed by two-time Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, Lynn Nottage in the composition and production of "Swear." (Pulitzer Prize 2017).
I also worked on a revision of an original play, "Lie More Mountains," (hopefully for the last time?)
And I sought (and nearly procured!) a semester long project intended to have students at The Chesterton Academy in Denver, Colorado re-envision and produce my play, "Purgatorio.". UA Poetry Center, The Rogue Theatre.
