Biography
Bilingual Critical Care physician trained at The Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, New York with an additional three years of internal medicine training and two years of general surgery training. Expertise in the design, implementation, and evaluation of international programs and projects in trauma and emergency systems development, continuing medical education, and telemedicine. Extensive experience working in health care provision and system design in Latin America, Romania, Kosovo, Philippines, and the USA including Native American reservations. Skilled in surgical and medical missions in underserved areas. Experience as an advanced trauma life support instructor and a basic trauma course instructor for the Pan-American Trauma Society. Author and co-author of publications in peer-reviewed journals, recipient of various research awards, andpresenter at national and international congresses.
