Biography
Benjamin Fraser is Professor of Hispanic Studies in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese in the College of Humanities at the University of Arizona. He is a previous Department Head (2018-2019) and has held faculty positions at Christopher Newport University, the College of Charleston, and East Carolina University, where he was Department Chair from 2014-2018. Fraser is the Founding and Executive Editor of the Journal of Urban Cultural Studies, Senior Editor of the Arizona Journal of Hispanic Cultural Studies, Co-Editor of the Hispanic Urban Studies book series, and Editor-In-Chief of Hispania (2018-2021). He has published sixteen books and some eighty essays on themes of urban life, disability, transportation and mobility, literary and cultural studies, and film and visual studies.
