Biography
Dr. Jose Goni is an Assistant Professor of Practice at the College of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated from Veterinary school at Universidad Nacional de Rio Cuarto in 2015. Since then, he has worked in private practice (in both Argentina and Lexington, KY), completed an academic rotating internship at The University of Georgia, and completed a Large Animal Internal Medicine Residency at Purdue University. His area of interest is internal medicine in large animals, especially horses.
Dr. Goni aims to teach his students the importance of the clinical exam and to help them develop critical and holistic thinking skills. Dr. Goni will accomplish this by helping students bridge the gaps between lecture hall knowledge, clinical patient evaluation, and diagnostic test interpretation.
Outside of work, Dr. Goni enjoys hiking, playing soccer with his friends, and speaking to his family in Argentina.
