Biography

Dr. Kramer is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona and a Full-Time Staff Rheumatologist at the Southern Arizona Veteran's Affairs Health Care System.

She joined the faculty after completing her Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson in June 2021, where she also served as chief fellow.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degrees in Mathematics and French from Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University, Summa Cum Laude, and her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. . She completed her Internal Medicine residency training at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

In medical school, she was recognized for community service, was a member of the Community Health Club Steering Committee, which ran the school’s free clinic for the underserved, and was a COMCoach providing mentorship for board exam preparation. She is a member of the Gold Humanism Society and was awarded a Spirit Award for her dedication to Cura Personalis (“care of the entire person”) from Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. In residency, she was a member of the Global Health Track, through which she spent two months working with Indian Health Services in Zuni, New Mexico.

In Fellowship, she performed Quality Improvement research on Rheumatoid Arthritis disease activity, clinic referrals and ran the program's social media site.

As faculty, she has enjoyed being involved in journal club with fellows, clinical teaching and mentorship of residents and fellows. She is also a sub-investigator on two randomized controlled trials evaluating safety and efficacy of treatment of patients with psoriatic arthritis.

 She is a member of the American College of Rheumatology.
