Interests
Teaching
Bringing emergency nursing into the fold of critical care. There is a cognitive dissonance in nursing that does not consider emergency nursing critical, which effects the morale and thus patient care of critically ill patients.
Research
I am fascinated by the was that misinformation effects patient's health care choices which lends itself to wonderful conversations with patients. Bridging the gap is tricky though! For practice research, I am wanting to develop a pediatric mental health screening tool with an algorithm for intervention that can be used by the public and not those that are in crisis in the ER.
