Biography
Dr. Luke Lehrling was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. He began his undergraduate education at Norwich University in Vermont, where he completed two years before deciding to prioritize the study of Veterinary Medicine over the profession of arms. He finished his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Arizona in 2016 and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army, which granted him an educational delay to acquire his DVM after he was accepted to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. He enjoyed working with sea turtles and other exotic species in the Caribbean, before finishing his affiliate year at Oregon State University and earning his DVM in 2020. He spent the next four years as a Captain in the US Army, serving as the Task Force Veterinarian for the Afghanistan Refugee resettlement after the US withdrawal and deployed to Africa for 2023 as the Horn of Africa Veterinarian, where he ran the sole US veterinary clinic in East Africa and discovered his love for teaching as he instructed hundreds of US and allied military personnel on canine triage and extended en route care techniques. In his spare time, he can be found cosplaying at Comic-Cons, playing Baldur’s Gate 3, reading science fiction/fantasy, and exploring 4th Avenue.Degrees
