• Palter, M. S. (2023.

  In 2022, I commissioned famed percussionist/composer, Russell Hartenberger (Academy Award Winner, multi-Grammy Award Winner - founding member Steve Reich Ensembe, NEXUS Percussion Ensemble) to compose me a solo multiple percussion work. On October 23, 2023, Russell came to Tucson to produce the recording which we did in Crowder Hall (Wiley Ross, recording engineer, Carson Scott, videographer, Morris Palter - performer). The sheet must was published on Liquidrum - one of the most successful online percussion-source sites for all things related to percussion music, method books, and other print materials. The video recording was released in conjunction with the sheet music release. Music attached. The video is on youtube.com. The link for the video is:

  Tócalo Tucson Chamber Percussion Seminar (founder, director). Oversee all aspects of this 10-day summer percussion seminar. 18 percussionists from across the US and Canada attended. Guest Artists included Russell Hartenberger (founding member, NEXUS, Steve Reich Ensemble, multi-Grammy award winner), and Michael Burritt (President, Percussive Arts Society, director of percussion, Eastman School of Music). Two dedicated free public concerts, daily clinics, masterclasses, private lessons, rehearsals, organize flights, hotels, on-campus housing for participants, off-campus excursions, etc.

  In 2021, I was voted President, Arizona Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society (three-year appointment). In 2022, I hosted and organized the PAS Spring Percussion Fest at the FFSoM. This was a one-day event and included our Solo and Ensemble competition (high school, and collegiate level), two dedicated clinics (Brett Reed/Doug Nottingham Duo, Alana Wiesing), and our dedicated evening concert featuring our solo and ensemble winners, as well as numerous college and high school chamber percussion performances. I performed with the UA percussion ensembles. Over 100 percussionists attended.

The group consists of one of each - cello, violin, piano, guitar, flute, clarinet, and percussion. I am the percusisonist. 
• Circulation Groove; Printed media with electronic playback; Matthew Burtner Music; N/A; As part of a new commission project, I commissioned composer Matthew Burtner (Emmy Award Winner, director of composition and computer music at the University of Virgina). The piece is titled, "Circulation Groove" for drumset and pre-recorded electronics. It has not been premiered as of yet. I received this piece in Janaury of 2020 for my 50th birthday.
