Creative Works
- Grand Canyon Suite: Aspens; October; For many years, I have been envisioning a work for solo piano which conveys my experiences on the North and South Rim of the Grand Canyon. In November, I was commissioned by pianist Katharine Christensen to compose a work for her based on my experiences of living in Arizona. This work will be presented as a set on her solo piano recital in February 2010. She will be performing one of the works from my suite, Aspens
- Three Songs on Estonian Poems: Talvine Õhtu; Songs for mezzo soprano and piano; October; I am composing three songs based on Estonian poems for graduate student Elen Voltein Marsh. The first poem Talvine Õhtu is completed. I will finish the other two songs in the spring. The work will be presented on her thesis concert.
- Music for Modern Dance; Original Piano Solo Music; October; I completed 17 pieces for my score and CD recording, Music for Modern Dance. I had planned to complete the recording. However, the sound engineer was in a car accident and I had to reschedule the recording for next semester.
