Biography

I have a PhD in economics from Notre Dame and a BA in physics and economics from Butler University. Before coming to the University, I worked for 16 years in private industry. While in industry, I enjoyed being involved in business decisions and working at the applied end of the economics profession. When news of an opportunity to work in health sciences came up, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to get back to a learning environment. My current research interests are in health care pricing and costs, especially drugs, and in the effects of location and distance on health outcomes.
