Dr. Sunggye Hong is a professor and Special Education Unit Chair in the Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies at The University of Arizona. A David and Minnie Meyerson Distinguished Professor, he specializes in education for students with visual impairments. His research focuses on braille literacy, assistive technology, and the expanded core curriculum, with the goal of equitable education access. He has secured nearly $10 million in grants, published in leading journals, and is a Fulbright US Scholar. Dr. Hong also collaborates internationally on issues of deafblindness and inclusive technology.
